My Recent Experience at Sky Trek Arenal
When I arrived, it was evident that safety and professionalism are paramount to Sky Trek Arenal. The staff was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, ensuring each participant felt confident and secure throughout the adventure.
The tour started with an introduction to safety, where we put in our equipment and learned the correct way to zipline (including an explanation of how to brake). Next, we took a beautiful ride on a Gondola from the reception area to the top of the mountain, where the ziplining tour began. While waiting in line for our turn to zipline, we quickly explored two viewpoints at the leading platform. Wow. What a view. We got to see the volcano, the lake, and the lush rainforest 360 degrees. Simply breathtaking. Then we started ziplining back down, going through seven fast, long, and high zip lines. One of them passed through the middle of the forest and was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had (and I’ve been on hundreds of adventures all over Costa Rica).
As you can imagine, this latter part of the tour is the main attraction at Sky Trek Arenal, which consists of a series of platforms and cables that crisscross the canopy of the rainforest. The experience is breathtaking, offering a unique perspective of the rainforest’s ecosystem and the stunning Arenal Volcano.
